Navigating Community Health Resources

Alfond Youth Center Program

Serving Kennebec & Somerset Counties

The Boys & Girls Clubs and YMCA of Greater Waterville at the Alfond Youth Center (AYC) is thrilled to be one of ten Navigating Health Resources Grants recipients across the nation through the National YMCA organization and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. As part of this grant, the AYC will provide community resources to increase health accessibility.

Over the next year, the AYC will be expanding our facility to incorporate a walking track, more wellness programs, more adult and youth exercise classes and fitness equipment. Our goal is to be the local resource for the health and well being of the entire family unit and to provide the achievement of wellness in mind, spirit and body. The AYC Board Members and Staff are very excited for our next steps.
